SOL LEWITT
The work of this artist s very interesting as a result of how precise and calculated the lines within his work are making the work intricate and intriguing. I also feel that there are bold and not overly intricate, the pieces are still interesting and visually appealing. Therefore i would like to look into using a range of different lines and mediums, such as thicker pencil, paint and wire aswell and thread, i feel this will give my work more dimension and interest. One aspect of this artist work that i do not wish to transfer into mine is the way the artist uses colour often, i feel that this takes away from the quaint and natural feeling of the work and do not feel it would improve my work a lot. Despite this i do like the way this artist controlled scale within his work as it makes the work unique as it looks more professional and firsta within the space given, therefore i wish to maybe try more installation pieces or larger work as i feel it would add to the assemble section of the project.

FRED SANDBACK
this possibly is my favorite artist as of yet within this project asm i feel our artworks have close connections, as a result of the minimalist style and the use of line and thread. This artist's work is beautiful in its simplicity and despite the lack of context it is still able to create an atmosphere due to the scale and installation of the work. I wish to look into more ways of presenting my work, like sandback has done, as i feel that increasing scale may also allow me to achieve a similar result to sandbanks work. This is definitely something i wish to explore, along with the colour pallet that sandback uses. I may be able to do this by drawing on images or by actually finding a space where i can create my own work, however this may be a little ambitions as a result of my limited space and money available to me. Another interesting this about this artist that i would like to explore is the piece created by David Zwirner which was a Monograph documenting five decades of Sandback's career. This is interesting due to the use of drawing to create space and allow for exploration of ideas, this is something that i wish to take into account when creating my work.

EVA HESSE
again, with this artist my favorite aspect of her work is the fact that it is more of an installation piece and fitting to the space, therefore making it a lot more professional and appealing to me. I feel that this is important as it makes work stand out more and become more meaningful if that suit the environment they are shown in, something this hesse's work does very well. Another aspect of the work which i would like to explore is the way she has used thread and other textile materials to create her work in a very flowing way. There is clear movement and fluidity in her work which i believe is what draws to to it and therefore i something i wish to achieve in my work.

NAUM GABO
After seeing this work in birmingham in the weekend i have been truly in ore of its beauly. The use of materials in gabos work allows for a huge sense of admiration and zen as the movement and fluidity in such a still piece is extremely effective and successful. This may be a result of the materials used, perspex thread. Although the use of materials gives off a modern sense, as oppose to my desired natural look, it is still very effective in creating a through provoking and calm atmosphere, therefore i now intend to explore a range of mediums in attempt to see if my approach can do the same. Another aspect of gabos work which i like is the sense of movement created by its 3D form, until now i have only done 2D work which has limited my idea development, therefore i wish to come out of my sketchbook and create more 3D pieces of work or installation work. I feel that this would suit my work and project nicely, therefore allowing me to develope it further in the small time frame given.
