LUCY MCKENZIE - I really like the way that this artist uses line in an interesting and unique way to connect different aspects of her work, such as images and object. This is interesting as it adds another dimension to her work which i feel that many other artists that use found artists do not have. This is important within her work as it changes the way the objects are seen and represented, something that i would like to play upon later on in the project.

TOBIAS BUCHE - this artists is another one which i wish to look into further in the later stages of my project as i am most inspired by the way he has presented his work and shows his process. He presents his work on large panels or walls in a structured and regimented way. This reminds me a lot of the way portraits are presented in war museums, for example in Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in cambodia. This is intriguing to me and i feel its add interest and depth to the images as it creates a scientific and more professional effect. However i am also interested in the way he collect the images and how he picks each of them. He uses both his own images, his own drawings and archives which has historical meaning to them, meaning there are muliple to mediums to each piece and therefore more interest.

DAMIEN MEADE - although this artist does not produce the style of work of use the same subjects that i am interested in, he does use the same process as i like to use as he creates a subject and then works form his images and goes form there. I feel i would best this way as it allows me to gain a spark and starting point for my work, allowing me to reference things and reflect on my progression. I do also like the colour scheme this artist has used. Although i tend to use higher contrast colours, black and white, i would also like to experiment with a range of other colors, such as burgundy and light blue, i feel these will not make my work too vibrant but will add another dimension to my work, similar to Meade.

MARINA ABRAMOVIC - i think this artist's work is really beautiful and is very aesthetically pleasing to me as they are so simple and personal. The way this artist has made such a simple image so thought provoking and intense is very impressive, something i wish to achieve in this project. As my subject matter is quite simple as in theory it is just straight lines, i must find a way to make my subject more interesting and eye catching, in order to improve the quality of my work. One way to do this may be by heightening the contrast, like Abramovic has.
