Unlike my previous project, here i have taken a different approach to the idea building and the creative process i have used. I have decided to bace my project around a more personal subject matter as opposed to a social or political issue, even though my work does have some political influences, it is still a result of my personal feelings. This means that my work i salot more focused and unique. Furthermore, despite limiting the amount of end user interpretation, it still allows for artist emotions to come through and consequently impact. I believe this would be a good technique to take to my fine art pathway as emotional connection to art is imperative when being passionate and creating successful pieces, this is evident when looking at artists such as tracey emin. However one similarity that is clear within my work is throughout clear experimentation with layering and collage within my pieces to portray a range of emotions. I enjoy this technique as it allows me to create the style of work i like in a simple and refined way and in different materials, such as printing, photoshop and voice recordings.
One aspect of this week that i have enjoyed immensely and wish to explore further throughout the project and my later studies is the adobe workshop which demonstrated how to use the program very clearly and effectively. This has shown me a new way of working and techniques that i am now able to use to develope work in different ways. Therefore i believe this is a transferable still that i will be able to use in fine art. I also enjoyed the practical workshop in very experimental ways by trialling techniques i had not used before, such as the scanner to edit images, not just photoshop, as well as other ways to present my work, such as printing on polaroid. Although i did enjoy these workshops, they were also challenging as i had never used them before, meaning i needed to rapidly refine my skills in order to make successful pieces in a short amount of time. However despite this, although it is clear that there is room for improvement, i believe i still made aesthetically pleasing pieces and was a good, successful first go.
I have enjoyed this first week of media and feel that i would be suited to moe media based course due to the way of thinking and working and approach to the creative process, however i do still believe a fine art pathway is what u should do as i am intrigued to work in a larger range of ways and materials, such as printmaking and although i am interested in photography, it is more fine art based and therefore do not want to be pushed into commercial or documentary photography.
I believe that the skill i have developed in the past two projects which has been especially useful is the rapid generation of ideas and planning in the initial stages of the project which forms the base of what is to come and consequently potentially the success of the rest of the project as if my ideas re not motivating or thought provoking i will have little enthusiasm to work to the best of my ability. Moreover as the projects are so short there is little time to spend on this, meaning the use of mind maps and initial idea recording is imperative, something i feel i have developed well and will be helpful in further studies.
I have predominantly recorded my ideas through my blog and as many elements are digital, however, some aspects are material, such as the polaroid experiments, meaning i have presented these in my sketchbook. I have enjoyed using my blog as it is easy and convenient, meaing i can show my work in its best form and write about it easily, something i found i was unable to do in the design project. I feel this makes my media and fine art projects of a higher quality as i am able to evaluate and refine more effectively making the journey and end result more effective.
Next week i intend to explore a range of new aspects, but with a stronger focus on the ‘love’ side of my work as i find it more passionate, insightful, uplifting and happy, something i feel i need at this point in time. I intend to do this through interviews, voice recording and potentially photography. However i would also like to put a fine art twist on my work for the final piece.

Here is a mood board which this influence my next wek of work, with the focus of love, but also older lovers of tong term relationships. However i must remember to keep it personal.
